Welcome to My Site! I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University. I obtained my PhD from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and prior to that, spent seven years as an IT Auditor and Data Analytics Specialist at KPMG LLP. As a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor, I strive to bring my experience as a practitioner to both my teaching and research. My research focuses on auditing, assurance, and financial reporting quality, with particular interest in the effects of emerging trends in information management (e.g., cloud services, privacy regulation) on firms and their auditors, on audit firm quality control systems, and on assurance in the cryptocurrency marketplace. My work has been published in Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Accounting Horizons, and Journal of International Accounting Research. In my free time, I enjoy golfing and spending time with my wife and two sons.
